Hello. Just last night when i started my vaio, all that is seen was the screensaver. I need to open the task manager through Ctrl+Alt+Canc button to open a program. Don't know what to do.

Hello, do you mean screensaver or background wallpaper?

It's CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up Task Manager.

If you have a wireless keyboard (desktop Vaio, you haven't said which model) then is it connected, do you need to press the Connect button on both kboard and Vaio?

If all else fails, hold down/in the power button for a few seconds to force power off. You can then hold F8 at bootup to perform a safe boot.
