Battery Life on Sony laptops

I bought a VGN-FZ11S last year and while I'm generally happy with the computer I'm not pleased with the battery life. If I disconnect the mains at 100% battery charge I get no more than 60 min. before the battery critical warning comes on! I had a similar problem with my previous Sony laptop. What do other users find? Is the battery faulty?

Thats a shame, I have a similar experience.

I have a FZ21Z.

The battery life on my machine is quite frankly, pathetic. I've never had longer than 1hr 15mins. And that was on power saver! Really dissappointed as this ruins the experience of this otherwise excellent machine. I'm on the go a lot and it is just not mobile enough. I feel like I'm constantly begging energy no matter where I go!

I know these machines are getting more powerful, but my last vaio lasted nearly 3 hours and that was after nearly 3 years of constant use!
