AV mode doesnt work on my sony cs series

AV mode doesnt work on my sony cs series laptop :

what do i do to get it to work, the major motivator for me buying this laptop was because of the av functions, however it refuses to work when i press it when its off or in any other mode

For instructions on how to use AV Mode have a look at pages 35 to 38 of your User Guide. You can download the guide from here: -

AV Mode will only work once you have booted into Vista and it allows you to select your chosen media player and to control that player from the special keys/fingerprint sensor.

I am not clear if you are looking for an 'Instant ON' feature where you can use the computer to play media without booting into Windows. If so I'm afraid your model does not have this feature.

I may be wrong but I don't think ANY of the current Vaios in Europe has an 'Instant ON' mode. The later FZ models and the TZ models were the last to have this feature.
