SD card

Ok, downloaded the user guide from the SE web site, installed it into the "Others" as a Zip file (emanual.zip). Can access the file and read it when the SD card is mounted on the computer, however trying to read the guide on the phone gives the message "Cannot find user guide on memory card. The memory card has been removed or the files have been deleted".

Memory card is still in the phone, and the file is on the card.

Any ideas anyone?

I followed this to replace the one that was already on my phone, as I assume this covered 1.6 and therefore no longer any use so deleted it before installing the new one.

Once downloaded thats were you just need to name it emanual - not emanual.zip.

Yes, wrong file in wrong place or wrong file in correct place or right file in wrong place. solution? I DON'T KNOW. Why are you doing it if a guide come preinstalled and working great???

I think he is referring to the X10 User Guide (Android 2.1).

Yep, referring to thje X10 user guide. Lost the guide off the phone when I updated to 2.1, but have, as stated, downloaded and re-installed on the SD card as per instructions on SE web site.

Oh... the one working online.... let SE give you a solution instead.

What is this comment meant to mean? I'm not asking about the online version of the user guide, but the guide you can download to replace one which has been lost during the update.

I remember downloading a pdf User Guide to my PC, is there one for the phone?

As for the phone, I view it online.

Yes, the phone comes with the user guide pre-installed on the SD card, at least it does in the UK.

It mean guide is working online and it will until SE decide to release the related update.. hope you got it now and find a solution.

Just tried to follow the instructions on the SE support for replacing and you are absolutely right it doesn't find it.  I looked using Linda file manager and it was called emanual.zip.zip so I remounted it and then right clicked and removed the .zip that appears in the title as you are instructed and now in Linda it just says emanual.zip.  So now when I tried using the User Guide tab it took an age to install (black screen with white circle please wait thingy) it has now installed.

Hope this helps!
