So as the images show, There is a mathematical problem on the first picture: If you add up all the things that take up space on the phone you don't get anywhere near the alleged 5 GB of storage (do the math, it only takes up less than 2,4 GB). The second problem is (second picture), even when there is 495 MB of free space, The phone doesn't aknowlage any of it, it for some reason it "thinks" it's full. Why is that and what can I do about it?

I found the problem after I installed DiskUsage app, and as it turned out, old games and apps I downloaded long ago and deleted soon afterwards, have kept large amounts of cashe or whatever on the phones memory, some over 600mb, and there were about 4 such large ones and a lot more smaller ones. And all of that was compleatly hidden from the phone and I didn't even know what was taking all the space.
About the other problem of not being able to download apps, I don't know if it still exists, but so far so good
I can't see the pictures until they are approved by a moderator but what if you try something basic, restart your phone ?
Oh, I didn't know that, hopefuly it won't take too long. Anyway the first picture is from settings and then storage and then device memory. And then you see "Total space" and 5.00GB right underneath. Lower you see "Available" (495MB) then "Apps" (1,47GB) and so on. If you add up all of the things that take up space it comes in less than 2.4GB.
On the second picture I wanted to show that even when there is suficient space on the device (495MB), It won't download apps. A pop up shows up, saying "Error while downloading ... there is insufficient space on the divice".
I did restart it, and it didn't change anything, I didn't try to repair it though, since PCC doesn't work on my computer.
Try this
settings > apps > all >play store > clear data > restart your phone check again
Oh, and if I plug it in a computer, It tells me the device has 255MB free of 4,94
that's quite odd, what if you boot on safe mode?

So I did what you said and now it wants to update most apps, but the same error message pops up, saying there's insufficient space on the divice, for every app, so It won't even update the simplest of apps, such as File Commander, Google play Music or Maps
So I tried safe mode, and the same problem persists, I tried updating Maps (they take only about 13MB) and the same Error message pops up
The displayed list doesn't include the operating system itself. Also capacity claims exclude the other 'overheads' required for formatting. You should generally expect a 'loss' of anything between 10 & 15% simply for that.
