headset control buttons not working

I used the headset that come as in-box accessories with xperia M2 dual but the single button on it is not working. Like for answering a call I tried press the button but nothing happen.
Is there any setting for that or is the headset button not working properly and should I replace it

Which headset was included for your Xperia M2 Dual? You should have a label attached to your headset with the model number.

I just tried this and it works fine for me. Could you boot your phone into safe mode and try to answer a call with your headset?

Otherwise, do you have the possibility to try another Sony headset to see if same thing happens?

I tried it in safe mode and it works fine. The true caller application was preventing the function so I removed it .
