About Internal Memory

X peria M have 4GB In built ram

Why my memory Internal just have 2GB...The remaining memory is already divided on other parts?

I just want to ask..XPERIA M C1905 SINGLE

Internal memory in all phones of  all brands refers to the total internal memory on the device. In no device will you ever get the stated memory. In fact Sony has done one good thing , they have merged the internal sd card and internal memory into one so you get more leeway in memory for your apps.

Android devices now only recognise the internal memory for installing apps. Therefore your son has only 240 mb which is the internal storage left, in which he can install further apps.

Do two things mate :

1. Go to Settings -Storage -TRansfer data to SD card and if the transfer button is highlighted and useable... use it or else cancel. Also go to file manager - internal storage- demovideo and delete the demo videos. keep the single english one if you need or get rid of that too. Be careful not to delete any system files here please.

2. Go to Settings - Apps- and under the downloaded heading  click on the apps which you dont require or use. Most of them will have an unistall button. Use it and free up as much internal memory as you can or need.

internal memory 4gb is not showing just show device memory 1gb and internal memory 1gb but why is 2gb

Like a computer some of your memory will be taken up with the operating system and installed apps

Sorry bappy only 2gb is available in Xperia m for use.rest is occupied by system apps. If u want more memory than rooting is only option

On the specs it is clearly stated that internal memory is 4gb but we can only access 2gb....which is not enough.....!!!
