It could be a firmware issue but also a power supply/socket issue
So you can try, if not already done
- Another wall socket
- Another PSU (if you have it)
- Charge your phone from a PC/Laptop with a USB cable
- Check also if phone overheats a lot (not quite warm) during charging
Anyway I had the same issue with my Xperia L and was solved with last firmware update

Yes that happens with mine too,, I cannot unlock the screen pattern while its charging. I bought it a week back.

Same issue connecting to a computer?
Did you install the last firmware update?
You can load your phone in safe mode and check if issue is the same
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold down the power key until the phone vibrates.
- Wait until the Xperia™ logotype disappears.
- Press and hold the volume down key. The device then restarts in safe mode.
- To exit safe mode, restart the device.

I also have the latest software available at the website for me i.e. 15.0.A.2.17
I also ran it in safe mode but the problem still followed......infact I did a factory reset then also the problem is same 😐
I don't know what next should I do to this phone???
Do you have any other possible option? I would be thankful to you if you could help me in this concern 😐

Sorry to disturb you my friend... That was the fault of the adapter of charger... Just I tried a nokia adaptor and it worked perfectly well.. Even I tried the combination of my cable and his adaptor and the work was just fine!!!!!!

You can check warranty policy for your country on sony website (Manual section of Xperia L)
Anyway accessories drop in the box with the phone (like battery, hearphone and power supply) are covered for 6/12 months
