Why are Sony Shop prices higher than most other retailers?

I respect the generally wider knowledge of the Sony Shop staff, but why are their prices generally higher than the likes of Comet, Currys, Apollo etc?

I would prefer to buy from the person who knows what they are talking about, but the price differences can be wide. Obviously I want the best deal that I can get, but I feel guilty gaining the information from the shop and then placing my order with Argos or similar.

There also seems to be many model numbers for what are possibly the same sets. Is there a master productreference list?

Very simple because they are a squad of money grabbing crooks. And don't hold your breath if something goes wrong with your Sony product because they will con you at that point as well. Believe me.

Regarding the prices charged at Sony Centres - that is not decided by Sony.  Sony Centers are private businesses and not owned by Sony or staffed by Sony Staff.  They set their own prices as would any private retailer.

Generally speaking they employ more specialist staff than do superstores like Currys and hopefully, offer a better service.
