I bought a new KE-48A9 only to find it did not have Britbox and the App Search told me it was not available on this TV!
I rang Sony technical to ask if it would ever be available only to be told that my new set was actually manufactured in 2020 and that software updates were available. After talking me through the updates, (‘Home’ button) turning the set off and then on again, up pops Britbox. The search is still telling me it is not available even though it works perfectly, obviously the ‘Search’ is not updated at the same time.

Hey Johnchowie, try a factory reset to settle the update in and solve the search issue.
