I have owned my e-reader for a year and not used it for a while. I just decided to buy some new e-books for an upcoming holiday and I can't download them to the reader because I keep being told it is registered to another user.
While I now no longer trust this device I don't belive it has been unfaithful and taken up with another owner.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything about a zillion times.
I have deleted my Sony account set up a new one and registered the reader to it.
I have tried my old laptop and my new laptop.
I have checked my Macs and the e-reader are authorised to the same person.
I have tried several soft resets.
I am about to create a new Olymic sport of e-reader hurling.
Please help prevent cruelty to unco-operative electronic devices by giving me a solution.
Hi Could I ask for the full message you are recieving from the software and Adobe Digital Editions if you are using both?
Hi There,
The full mesage I am receiving is content cannot be transferrd because the reader is registered to another user. The reader has been registered to me since I bought it last March. In the about section the reader says it is registered to me. There are no other messages.
Hi I would recommend you deactivate the Reader and the PC/MAc in Adobe Digital Editions, once you have done this download from the store again, it appears the DRM link has become currupt and is giving false information, this is an Adobe issue and needs to be resolved within Adobe software.
I have already deactivated Adobe digital editions and reinstalled it to no avail. Any more ideas?
Hi are you able to download and read eBook in ADE?
