prs 600 reader library

have downloaded reader library but it does not show the lefthand column whereby you see the library list of books music photo periodicals etc or the status reader computer etc. this was there originaly but now lost it. deleted all existing software from pc to download new reader library from sony site but always returns with the LH column missing. before i destroy computer can anyone advise who had similar or overcame this?

Sounds really unusual this, and not something that I've ever come across before.

However, I stumbled across a discussion thread on a site that I've provided a link to below, and the reply from 'veronique' if you scroll down a bit seems to have provided a possible solution.:smileyconfused:

Thank you for info, followed your link and read comments, looks good,  have copied them and will try again following the 'hidden files procedure' they recommend for xp. will let you know what happens. at mo

download epub books from disc to sdhc card then plug card into prs 600 which works ok but needs patience waiting for book(s) to load. still its better than picking up a book, opening the cover and just reading it! at least thats what my kids tell me.
