I have recently swapped to a MacBook and cannot get the ereader to be recognised within the reader library. It just says "error".
I deauthorised it on the old Windows PC, hard reset and deleted it off the Windows PC. Now on the Macbook it shows that the Adobe software is licensed on this computer now.
Whatever I try, I cannot get it to work and Sony have washed their hands of it blaming Apple. Apple say its a Software issue so contact Sony.
Has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve it? If so, would appreciate on how you managed it. I have done a hard reset on the ereader numerous times as well to no avail.
I have added a screenshot underneath showing the error I get. You can see that when connected it shows error.
Thanks in advance for help
Matt

Hello
This may help you.
Sony appear to have recently released new Reader software for both Mac and PC.

I downloaded it yesterday (22nd Sept) and it works a treat!
My Mac now recognises my PRS300 (without the need to boot as 32bit) and the problem I was having with syncing that kept freezing is resolved. Good news!
The solution comes just in time for me to pass my PRS300 onto the wife when I get the new model reader on 19th Oct.
hope the above link helps.
