Hi and thank you for your question.
Unfortunately Sony has to follow strict guidelines for the distribution of digital media, these are enforced by each country and publisher, you will find in most cases that a publisher in the USA will not be the same for the UK or even Europe, I understand the confusion for the end user, however this is something beyond Sony's control.

The geographical limitation lark is, frankly, a damn nuisance, but it's evolved, as specialist says, partly because of different publishers with different rights in different countries, but also partly due to various boring trade deal/reg's/arrangements at national levels.
But it does seem strange that I can go online and get all the books I need in physical form with out a problem, but digitally it's a pain the wotsit !
Recently went through this with an Irish auther who lives in Canada and Ireland, and I ended buying secondhand from the Amazon behomoth !
In four different parcels....
From four different sellers....
Which arrived over the space of a month...
And I never got any reply from the author's website Help page !!
