Hi -
I have a PRS-600 reader which was wotking great. Got a few new books recently and since then the reader will not synch with the library.
The Library also looks strange - when I open it, the left hand side is cropped off (can't see the full book title) and I think there are more options to the left of the frame that I can't see, eg I can't click on the reader like I used to and see what books are on it. The guy in the Sony shop said to try re-installing the reader library, which I might have to do.
Has anyone come across this, and will I lose my books if I re-install?
Help!
Conor

Hello
I had problems between Reader software and my Mac, and also syncing difficulties. The following may help you....
Sony appear to have recently released new Reader software for both Mac and PC.
https://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/690244
I downloaded it yesterday (22nd Sept) and it works a treat!
My Mac now recognises my PRS300 (without the need to boot as 32bit) and the problem I was having with syncing that kept freezing is resolved. Good news!
The solution comes just in time for me to pass my PRS300 onto the wife when I get the new model reader on 19th Oct.
hope the above link helps.

Hi there are two ways to fix this Windows resize issue
1. Easy
If the oval is not displayed on the left side of the eBook Library window, the software should be uninstalled and then reinstalled.
Do these steps
-Uninstall the eBook Library
-Now You might need to delete every folder that remains from the previous installation:
For Windows XP:
-Change the Folder Options so it would show the Hidden Files and Folders
-Open the Directory "C:\Documents and Settings\AllUsers\ApplicationData" here you need to delete two folders "Kinoma" and "Marlin"
-Open the Directory "C:\Documents and Settings\"Your Windows User Name"\LocalSettings\ApplicationData" here you need to delete the "Kinoma" folder only.
-Open the Directory "C:\Documents and Settings\"Your Windows User Name"\Local Settings" and delete the "Sony Corporation" Folder
-Open the Directory "C:\Program Files\Sony" and delete the Reader Folder
For Windows Vista:
-Change the Folder Options so it would show the Hidden Files and Folders
-Open the Directory "C:\Program Data" here you need to delete the folders "Kinoma" and "Marlin"
-Open the Directory "C:\Users\"Your Windows User Name"\AppData\Local Settings\Application Data" here you need to delete the "Kinoma" folder and the Sony Corporation Folder.
-Open the Directory "C:\Program Files\Sony\ and delete the "Reader" and "Sony Reader" Folders
-Install the Latest Version of the eBook Library and the Source view should show up.
2. Difficult'ish
Go to the Kinoma/fsk/1 folder and right click on the 'com.kinoma.fskin.ktStart-kBook ' file and open with Word pad, scroll to the last line and find
Hi,
Many of us have had the same problem with the REader not Syncronising. Make sure all your books are backed up on your computer.
No one seems to have a solution to the problem of the Reader not Syncronising yet and the list is growing!!
Some of us have tried a Library re-install, erasing everything and even sending the Reader back to Sony for repair - nothing seems to work. For a limited time we can drag and drop, but not Sync.
Does anyone know how to fix this please?
