FDR-AX53 is my third Sony camcorder, I needed upgrade to 4K.
I have 2 remote controls RMT-835 from my previous Sony camcorders and they are working fine with FDR-AX53 and are very useful on tripod (start/stop/zoom/outzoom/photo). The phone app from Sony is also working, however it is not so convenient.
