Randomly turns itself off

Since the last firmware update a few weeks ago, my KD-49XE8004 Bravia television randomly shuts down and reboots itself. This happens once or twice a day and I have no idea why. Any suggestions?

Hey, what is the current software version? Is it 6.7165? Also have you tried to to unplug the TV form the  power as long as any device connected? Then plug it back after a while and test its performance again. Sometimes it's just a power glitch.

I’ve tried unplugging and plugging back in again but I’m afraid it still does it. It is only since the last firmware update that the problem has arisen.

I'd recommend a factory data reset at this point by pressing on Home > Settings > Device Preferences > Reset > Factory Data Reset > Erase Everything.
