I have a new Sony Bravia 32W800 and can’t see an option to set programme reminders. Can anyone help? Thank you
Thank you so very much for taking the time to reply. My previous LG was idiot proof……need I say more! 😁 But I could look at the day’s schedule, click on a later programme and the tv would switch to it no matter what I was watching. I don’t think I can do that with my Sony, but nothing is perfect and the picture quality is lovely!
I have 3 Sony TVs all different, all different ages, setting programme reminders on all three is the same.
Press the Guide button on the Remote Control.
Navigate to the programme you want to be reminded about.
Press the OK button.
The next screen will ask you if you want to set a recording, if your TV is capable of that,
it will also offer the option of setting a Reminder.
Select Reminder.
The next screen should confirm the details of the programme, select Set Timer.
The TV will return to the Guide, the programme you are interested in will now have a clock icon
next to its entry.
At the allowed time the TV will ask you if you want to switch to this programme, you can either confirm or deny.
If left alone the TV will automatically switch over.
Here is a link to the page in your TVs manual to set a Recording or a Reminder.
The procedure is different to the one I described above.

Thank you daveyh64. I’ve had a go and all it says is ‘this programme is currently unavailable’. I’v connected the tv to an ordinary ariel- I haven’t signed up to a broadband yet. Could that be the problem?
Thank you Lightfoot! I’ve used the link and studied the instructions but it still not working. I know it’s something I’ve done or not done, I’m rubbish with new technology.
Whether the TV is connected to the internet or not should not affect the ability to set a Reminder.
Go through the instructions provided in the links, if you are sure you are doing everything correctly and you still cannot set a Reminder, are you able to get in touch with whoever sold you the TV ( I am presuming it is still under guarantee), they may send someone out if you think it is a fault.
Or do you know someone who is more tech savvy than yourself to see if they can work it out.
Thank you for all your advice! I’ve pressed so many buttons my finger is sore. I’m going to find a technically minded person. Really really appreciate your time.
