My android all4 app worked fine before the update but now when I play any episode it will restart from the beginning after the 1st advertisements.
Anyone else? Or any help appreciated.
Yes, the same thing happens for us since the update - ITV Hub also does it.

I also confirm this issue on All4. However I cannot replicate this on ITV Player after playing 3 TV shows, all worked without fault
@royabrown - Has there been any complaints on the YouView forums?

These days, there are hardly anything but complaints on the YouView forums 🙂
But none have been about All4 on these Sony TVs, except what you have brought us.
Where I did observe that Amazon feedback a year ago was full of complaints about All4 on their Fire devices doing exactly this, as I found myself. But this issue seems fixed now, on Fire devices at least.
But All4 switch you to a whole different source to serve you ads, so they have to remover to put you back in the right place afterwards, which is where this issue arises.
Youview forum say that all4 are aware of the problems and working on fix.
I'll be returning my Sony android TV if this continues much longer.
Sony will says it's not their problem but this isn't acceptable.

Im honestly sick of trawling message board trying to resolve this issue.

My understanding is that no such assurance has been given.

Sorry if you feel you have been misled. I created a post on the YouView forums in order to gather further information from the SuperUsers their, as YouView needs to be enabled on Sony TVs in order run the All4 app.
I also added this issue to the bugs and issues list:

And have already informed Sony that there may be a problem.
