Xperia Ace 3 software bugs...

Dearest Sony fans,

Some of our Sony Xperia users are sending letters to Sony Support EU center for Xperia Ace 3. They stopped answering instantly without any warning for more than 2 weeks. Software problems for the devices Xperia 1IV, 5IV were not solved for more than 4 months. There are problems for the Aces 3 too. Who knows what is happening or can flag this issue, please reply!

The user having Ace 3 device wrote to Europe Sony Support:


"From the last email and after 63.1.B.0.561 upgrade made 2 weeks ago, the issues still present are, Sony doesn't respond to any other user or email as far as we know:


1. Wi-Fi connection is unstable and weak. Compared to other Xperia devices, the indicator lines for Wi-Fi signal are changing very fast and loosing site of the router, even that the Wi-Fi signal is strong in the area.

2. Fingerprint unlock sensor always stays with the vibration. The vibration cannot be disabled like in the other Xperia devices.

3. Camera application doesn’t mute its shutter even when all system sounds are muted – the device is set on mute.

4. Software upgrades are only available to see and to do from Xperia Companion application, in software repair mode. Otherwise, it says it has the latest software, or it cannot upgrade but only by the device. Without noticing anything by itself. .

5. Camera. The issues are:

a) This one is similar with all Xperia models to this date: so, when using manual brightness or manual color temperature in the star (*) setting, the auto modes are disabled (and HDR) or other scenes combined, are not active anymore, the final results are far worse than with the scenes. So even for a +/-0.3 exposure value, or +/-0.3 color temperature, the auto scenes are inactive. Same issue in Bokeh mode.

b) Bokeh stock camera mode has still faulty subject integration, but yet unbelievably better than the much more expensive Xperia 1/5 IV – especially for the front camera! Not to mention that any Gcam mods are compatible with both sensors compared to Xperia 1/5 mk4 and this little one for 100 euros can deliver Pixel 7 amazing front/rear bokeh by mods, simply of its open camera api2 that any Sony till now."


So please send these to Sony, or please verify if Sony Support for Europe is suspended. We really need a pertinent answer!

Hey AlexandruRai, why don't they call to chase up on the case?

What I know is, no emails get past Sony not replied unless there's an abuser customer, like this is the policy for all companies. 

Also, are they using the correct email? customersupport.en@eu.sony.com?

* I don't know what happened. At most, one day delay (even they were not helping at all with the issue). The latest reply they gave to our user, was like this: "we would encourage yourself to wait for a reply from our side"; weird one I would say, even if, like always, there was nothing solved. No answer to this date.

* We tried with other e-mails and the same. Yes, replies of the e-mail already received, so the address is good.

* The issues stated are ONLY unbalanced software by factory, and we have great experience in this regard. Ace 3 is such an interesting 5G (esim), Android 13, compact smart with water resistance, amazingly cheap.


Please confirm if they answer to you. And if they answer to you, please check what is happening with the 25291218 case.

Dearest,

We are waiting for a confirmation of what is happening with the customersupport.en@eu.sony.com email address, and if it's still functional. Please give answers in steps for the following:

1. Is someone able to confirm receiving answers in the EU customer support e-mail address above?

2. Does anyone know another good way to send English text e-mails with the issues stated with proof, like in here, but with certainty of Sony engineers receiving it, or this forum is the only and the most certain way?

3. Is there a new Sony app for this situation? Or the stock Sony support from the android phone is the way?

We didn't solve anything if they are not answering and/or changing something that we are not aware of.

Please help!

 By phone it has the latest upgrade. By Companion is it an upgrade but it says to go to the phone and the only way to upgrade is by software repair. Who is able to do this when software repair means deleting everything?! Sony is not answering to any e-mails sent by our team. Can someone from here can confirm this? Is anyone sending to customersupport.en@eu.sony.com?Please help!
