Xperia 1 III charging problem

So, have this Xperia 1 III since is been on the market (a few months) and been a Sony user for years.

It came with android 11 and updated to 12 when was automatically available.

Back in UK everything worked fine and never had a problem but now I decided to have a holiday and since I'm here (in Mauritius) doesn't matter the place, never charges properly.

I connect the genuine charger and the phone normally starts to charge but every 30-40 seconds this gets interrupted  and I get not charging notification. Next second is charging again and then not charging.... and on-off, on-off until eventually I get a usable battery percentage. 

The charging port is clean, same genuine charger.... nothing in hardware changed.

Is it the heat (daily 30 degrees)?

Is it something related to local electricity?

Hello @danyelB35,

have you tried another cable or another charging brick? Sounds like either one could be damaged.
