Ok, so please don't flame me here!
I have been with apple what seems like forever, but recently getting fed up with them seemingly trying to control everything I do (and cheesed off with the way they deliberately reduced the performance of my old SE so they could sell new phones).
I am thinking about changing to Sony Xperia. Music is my big thing and I have a big library, ripped mostly from CDs, but also some purchases direct from iTunes store and some from Amazon.
I like & have sony headphones WH-1000XM3 and XF3. I read that Sony bluetooth interface is as near to lossless as to not be noticeable, whilst Apple is still stuck to 320kps. Plus Sony still has the headphone socket & Xperia also consistently wins awards for best music & sound quality from a phone.
But I am wondering in reality how easy is it to set up itunes on Xperia and transfer across all my music files. Or, for a non-techy, is it akin to open heart surgery and sadly I should just suck it and stay with apple?
Any thoughts appreciated — before posting I did try and look through the forums to see if a similar question had been asked before.
Nowadays the transfer of files isn't as bad as it used to be before between android and ios. Just get the Xperia transfer2 app and select to transfer from an iphone. You should get a list of options and select what you want to transfer https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00251331
I believe for your iTunes library you can just get the Apple music app on your xperia and sync the files, however if that doesn't do othe trick then you can easily move them by plugging them to a PC (I always do this aynway) https://www.wideanglesoftware.com/blog/3-ways-to-transfer-music-from-itunes-to-android.php
Thank you for taking the time to reply corrupted minds, that's very helpful.
I shall have a look at these and start saving my pennies for an Xperia!
