Z1 Display Auto brightness bugged out

- Auto brightness, I don't think Sony get's the AUTO part. It simply doesn't work!  my display refuses to switch off when i put the on/off button. I mean, the background goes black and LCD brightness is maximum (really, the black looks GREY and nothing close to black) and the display doesn't switch off. Pressing the power button brings up the lockscreen. Have to manually reset brightness settings, or reset the phone completlay. and one more thing that i noticed , everytime after phone factory reset about 1 day or so , when i switch off the phone and turn it on again, the same bug will appear, reboot time will take over 2 min which is unusual, and i have to wait about 1 min 30 sec between the Sony logo and Xperia logo.( usually the booting only took 20 sec to the lock screen)

and then which means, the auto brightness is DEAD, I cant switch off or adjust my screen brightness level , unless I turn off the auto brightness, but then when I click on auto brightness again and put the brightness to the left side and press the on/off button, my display will be completely dark, but I still can swipe to pass the unlock screen and hearing the click sounds. just cant see any back light on the  screen anymore untill force reset ur phone.

need HELP .....btw the soft ware is 14.1.G.1.534

Turn the Bluetooth off an WiFi off.

Restart the phone. It will start very quickly and your problem should be gone. Then use your WiFi as you need, as good as BT.

This is a bug we are aware of and working on it already.

Sorry for that, it happens.

Hi

I reported this same issue in another thread!

Such a great great phone...we need this addressing quickly!

It might be an idea to contact vendors and make them aware of the issue, the fix and software update?

I have exactly the same problem. I turned off wifi and Bluetooth but that didn't help. It takes nearly 2 min to reboot. And the problem with the auto brightness is still there.

I tried turning my Bluetooth and WiFi off and restarted my phone. But it did not resolve my problem. I have the latest build (14.3.A.0.681) on my phone. I have this issue from the time I bought the phone 6 months back.
