Xperia z5 compact screen stays black.

Hello, I've had Xperia Z5 compact 2 years and I've had 0 problems with it. A really good neat phone to use wouldn't really want to change phones as I've gotten comfortable with the one I have right now.

Recently though, while I was at school, I had used my phone and when I turned it on from the power button I had this white weird screen with tons of different pixels for a second and it dissapeared, it was for a solid second and everything turned normal like they used to. Used my phone, texted someone and then I had placed it in my pocket, 2 minutes later I got a notification but then my screen just stood black, I can see that the screen is working as It's that kind of black when you start up a game then it's black but it's a little bit lighter black. Anyway, I get notifications, the screen is reacting to my touch, everything working fine as it should, but the screen isn't showing me anything except the lighter black screen. I'm not sure why this is doing this as I didn't drop my phone at that time. I tried everything, from rebooting the phone, trying to go safe mode, evem XPERIA COMPANION app which diddn't even let me do anything as I have to choose to transfer files from the phone, but that's quite hard when your phone is completely black. Even from the booting up it doesn't show the XPERIA startup thing and it doesn't show the battery thing aswell when you charge, it just stays black.

I'm not sure what to do as my warranty is gone aswell, I'd really hate to go and get it fixed even though I didn't do anything to cause the problem, it was only in my pocket.

Note I have dropped it before multiple times, the Gorilla glass is cracked, but the phone screen isn't cracked at all, my backside of the phone is cracked also not sure if that's important, but yeah. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I've got the same issue, it seemed to get worse over a period of a few days, I could get the screen to show every now and then but now not at all!

Some help would be good, but i ain't got any!

Hi @WireWIse@Recheh;

You can still use the Xperia Companion to perform a software repair with your phone powered off, just power of the phone, connect it to the PC, press software repair, select that you can not start device and follow on screen instructions.
