I have a Xperia Z5. Its 1 year old and worked perfectly. Since a few Days the phone suddenly shuts itself down spontaniously with a low battery message. The battery level is then arround 60-70 %. When the charger is attached it shows also 60-70% and the phone can be booted without issues and used for a random time until it shuts down again.
I already did a reset to factory settings.
The issue also happens during safe mode.
It runs Android 7 Since a few weeks.
I had that as well that the check was saying ok. The first 30% it also was. Then it drained and phone shut down.
Good luck with it. Replacing is very easy. It did it with a YouTube video.
I replaced the battery a couple weeks ago, and have no had a sudden shut down.
All seems to be good as new, except sometimes the haptic feedback stops, but thats not a big issue for me.
Thansk again for the guidance, pumped my phone is working like new again.
