calender is unfortunately stopped

Hi

I changed yesterday from iPhone to Xperia Z1 compact. I synchronized the main datas with my Google-account.

Almost everything works but the calender.

Every time when I would like to start the app calender the following message appears "Calender is unfortunately stopped".

I noticed that also other calender-apps get shut down with the same message.

I've already tried the suggestions from this forum which are related to the same problem but with other devices.

But I can't see any progress. Following my steps of trying to fix the problem without success:

1. I checked if the calender app and also the calender storage are deactivated. They are not.

2. I forced a stop in the app section and restarted the phone. --> no change.

3. I deleted cache and data and restarted the phone. --> no change.

4. I restarted the phone in secured mode. --> Calender doesn't work either.

Now I started the phone in normal mode and I am eagerly looking forward to hear from you, if you have any suggestions.

Thank you very much in advance.

after that set up ypu google acount once more and re sync calender and other thing

Hi Adelina

you can try one small step that might fix the issue

>Settings -> apps -> all -> calender -> clear Cache/Data (if selected Data then all the calendar contents will be erased, incase if you have data back up of Calender then you can go forward to do it), if possible try to disable the app on the same page, restart phone and check it it works or not

let us know

Dear Manjuboyz and Danial-mach1

Thanks to your advice and a further idea it finally worked.

First (as Danial-mach1) suggested I deleted the gmail-account.

After that I forced a stop, deleted cache and date with both apps, first the calender app and secondly the calender entries (in german Kalenderspeicher).

Then I restarted the phone, checked the calender app which fortunately worked.

After that I added the gmail-account again. Now everything is fine.

Thank you two very much for your valuable support.

Wish you a great day/evening.
