Battery usage on Display always on 60%+

I just got my Xperia Z1 and it seems pretty awesome (at least for me) but there is only 1 thing that bothers me most

when I go to Settings>Power Management>Battery Usage, my screens using 60~65% of the screen and the rest is <10% so technically speaking it drains so fast!! is this normal?

Here's what I did so far and if someone can come up with other solution please do help me or do I need to send this to my mobile service provider for replace?

-all the stamina section has been enable

-Settings>Display all disabled including x-reality

-wallpaper is black (means no wallpaper is applied just to isolate the issue)

if I miss something please do help me and thank you!

Hi pingckoy

i know what it feels when you buy new phone and its doing weird than we expect ;), so the problem you are facing is normal, since it is new phone it takes few time to come on track so be calm

>about background wallpaper, yeah it absorbs some battery usage but not too large, so you can add wallpaper without any issue

>my phone battery did the same thing after doing update, so by reading one of the blog they suggested to charge the phone for whole night!!(just once), so before going to sleep i drained battery for 5% and charged overnight, morning woke up and restarted the phone, then it goes no battery problem from there, i can manage my phone for 2 complete days without any problem, and end of 2nd day i still left with 40% for charge, make sure dont charge the battery for complete 100%(i prefer doing this) i charge it for 90s or 95%.

I think you are miss reading your graph, I shall try to explain. When you look at battery usage at the top it says a percentage discharging (if not currently charging) mine says 84% at the moment. Below this you have a graph showing how long your phone has been running on the battery (not how long is left in battery). Below this is a list of things which have been using your battery. At the top of this list is usually Screen. At the moment mins says Screen 74%. What this all means is that my battery had used 16% of its charge (84% discharging), my Screen has used 74% of that 16% Not 74% of my battery. If you add up the percentages in the list of things using your battery it will be roughly 100% ie 100% of what has been used. For some reason the list never quite adds up to 100% on my Z1 but on my older phones it does . I hope this helps and apologise if I have made this sound complicated
