I recieved my Z1 SIM free from Amazon today and had a play around with it for an hour. I then noticed there was a software update for it in the notifications so i let it do that and now I can't get it to boot up.
The Sony splash screen comes up, followed by the coloured streams then it freezes and goes back to the Sony logo, coloured streams, repeat etc.
I've connected it to Sony PC Companion and updated the software via that, but I'm still getting the same results.
I assume this has got to be something to do with the software update, but I'm extremely frustrated that this has been on for an hour and I've hit this brick wall which has never happened to any phone I've had before.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to a fix?
Many thanks

What if you press the button under the SD card cover? SIM card cover
SD or SIM? I've tried pressing the red reset button under the SIM several times and upto 1 minute; nothing happens.
Thanks for the support anyways!
You have to take it back to the store
Oh g. Thanks ;).
This is a massive problem. It's all over the forum. I don't want an iphone. But I have to ditch the Z1. Which I love. If it woked.
Its such a great phone, I wonder if its a widespread issue
I also think this is a massive problem. Just after two days I had to take mine back for service. I do agree that the Z1 is an otherwise outstanding phone but this is issue really quite frustrating and must be resolved immediately.
