Hello. I'm new to sony, and new to android. Recently I have lost the 1st page of all my apps and wdgets.
If I scroll left, I get the Google news feed etc. Then I scroll right, and it takes me to what was my 2nd page of apps.
I have tried to find a way to deliberately delete a page. So to understand how I did it. But I can't even find that!
Have I done something? I recently upgraded the firmware to the latest update 2 days ago. And had no problems. So I'm at a loss to explain this.
It's a sony XZ premium btw.
I backed the phone before the update. So tried to restore it.... I figured it would delete apps since the restore, but reinstall the phone to as it was when I backed it up. The restore was 'successful' but new apps since the back up are still there, and no home screen. So I don't see what the restore has actually achieved to be honest.
Thanks for your help people.
Hi @GoCoeGo, I am sorry to hear about that.
It sounds as you may have deleted the homescreen by accident. In order to edit a homescreen (add apps, widgets, add and remove screens) you may press and hold on an empty area of the homescreen until the edit menu appears. If you here press X in the corner of a homescreen, it will be deleted. In order to add a new homescreen, swipe to a desired direction and press "+" in the middle of the display.
If you have deleted a homescreen, I am sorry to say that I can only advice you to add the apps and widgets anew.
Let me know how it went!
