Xperia XA Headphones are not recongnized

Hello,

I have had my phone since begin january 2017.It has worked very well untill yesterday when I went outside and wanted to listen to some music.I have found out that the auxiliary is not beeing recongnised,I have tried at least 5 different sets of headphones and headsets and none of them were recognized.

I have read other topics and some suggested to clear data withing apps-smarconnect but I don't even have the smart connect app.

I want to know is it a software prob or hardware.

@UberDream you may want to try first to restart your phone in safe mode. Does it work while in safe mode? A 2nd thing you may want to try is really basic.. does your headphone works with other devices? Then.. when you connect the headphone and try to raise up or lower the volume, can you see an headphone icon in the volume dialog?

I have booted my phone in safe mode and no, they still don't work.The headphones work fine on other devices.

I hope this isn't a hardware problem.

RESOLVED:I've put a cotton swab into sanitary alcohol and cleaned the 3.5mm jack with it.Worked.
