Hi,
My XA ultra had about 50% left. The moment i touched the phone, the battery dropped to 0 and it powered off immediately. I tried to charge it and the moment i restarted the phone, it's charging at 1%.
What happened? Is my phone spoil? What should I do?
This phone is about 1 month plus old.
Hi @Kenzo8,
I'm sorry to hear about this issue, let's see if we can help resolve it.
Has the device been able to charge past the 1% point since the issue started and can it be turned on and used or does it need to be continuously plugged in?
In many cases, this type of issue is software related and can be resolved with a software repair but we need to know that the device can perform the task by having enough charge
Please let me know.
Thank you for the reply.
The device is able to charge and turned on after the 1% point. For now, the device seemed to work fine.
If i remembered correctly, this issue has happened before. My device was left with 30%, subsequently it was powered off without any battery left at all, in just a few seconds.
I also observed my notification led do not blink sometimes ever since I spotted this issue of sudden battery drain.
Thanks for the info.
In this type of situation I would suggest running a backup of the device and then running a software repair, as this sounds more software orientated than it does hardware. I have supplied some instructions below.
software repair using Xperia Companion
Please let me know how you get on.
