Well I have now run out of ideas on getting the backlight / brightness control to work on my Sony Vaio laptop. I have followed many suggestions and instructions from the Vaio support site and so far nothing works.
I have downloaded the relevant vista updates and installed them in the order suggested and everything else working, volume, LCD etc but the Backlight / Brightness control shows the image on screen and it moves 1 block and then nothing.
I have tried various NVidia drivers, even the patched ones from LaptopVideo2Go but still no joy.
Has anyone managed to get the brightness control working using Vista Ultimate on a VGN-S3XP?
Help would be greatly appreciated before I go mad!
