VGC-V2M CONNECTION TO TV

Hi. Is there anyone out there who can help me with any suitable solution on how I can connect my VGC-V2M desktop PC to my TV? Many thanks. Tim

Hi Tim,

As an 'all-in-one' computer with a good large screen, your V2M is not designed to output video and has none of the usual video outputs -

No S-Video out
No AV out
No VGA out
No HDMI

The only possible output is by USB. There are some converter boxes available but they are rare in any output other than VGA or DVI. The quality will be suspect because you will have a limited data transfer rate via USB.

I'm sure you will find one in the UK if you Google but quite honestly, the quality will be very much better on the V2M screen and you will only be disappointed with the result.

Thanks I wondering whether you can help me? I have a VAIO VGC-VA1
It has an S-Video socket and RF (yellow/red/white leads) sockets and a headphone output but nothing works so far when I connect to the TV. I bought leads to connect to my tv. These were the Belkin PC-DVD to TV Cable Kit. I am wondering whether it is actually possible to see what's on my pc on a tv with RF and Scart inputs.

Hi Howard and welcome.

You have exactly the same problem as Tim.

All those connections on the TV Tuner Card (except the headphones) are INPUTS only. I'm afraid there is no easy way to get a video out signal.

The only possible ways are by using a network/WiFi receiver that will output video to your TV or via the USB connection.

Hi Blencogo That is so useful it has led me to further research which has led to a partial result!

I have tried the link and found some nice video-playing products which transfer the video playback from the pc wirelessly /with scart if necessary/ to your tv, such as the DSM-330 DivX one, but it won't allow a tv to be my monitor.

The reason that I need it is because I am electrosensitive to the rays emitted from pc's and modern tv's. I need to use an old fashioned tv which does not make me feel weak using it. This tv I have has a scart input. These tv's are ok but the modern pc's make me feel weak!

It seems that there is no product allows me to see what's on my pc / perform functions through an old tv as the monitor (......or even or new one
