Hi
have gone through the fairly fiddly process of stripping Vista off my VGN-CS (pink one), installed XP and managed to locate ALL drivers with the exception of 1.
The device that's lacking a driver is shown in device manager as "video controller (vga compatible)".
I think it's the graphics card driver, coz the screen refreshes really slowly at the moment - but I could be wrong.
Does anyone know what manufacturer and model of video controller this particular Viao has? I guessed it was NVidia but their driver detection widget is picking up nothing so either it's not nvidia, or it's just not listed on their device widget - or their widget doesn't work (its only in beta at the moment).
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Hi ZoeKerr,
according to the specs your CS11S has a NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS GPU..
You may find a compatible driver at http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/xp but it's your choice whether you install the driver..
