Vaio touchpad problems

Hey guys,

Got a new VAIO VGN-NR32S about two months ago and it's working fine - except one problem. ANY time I use Microsoft word or hotmail to compose an e-mail or even posting on forums such as this it takes twice the time because when i'm typing the cursor just jumps all over the place!!

If i'm writing something the cursor will jump position on the page - into another line for example so i'll have to stop, fix the line, reposition the cursor, start again and then the cursor will move again - i'm a writer and it's really slowing me down and very frustrating -

anyone experience this problem or have any idea as to whats the problem and how to fix it?

I'm thinking there might be a problem with the touchpad but i'm really not sure.

Cheerz guys

Hi Hollywood67,

welcome to Club VAIO..

Click Start, then all programs, then Vaio Control Centre..

Click Continue on the User Account Control window..

In the Vaio Control Centre expand Keyboard and Mouse..

Then double click on Mouse..

In the Mouse Properties window select the Tapping tab.

In the tapping tab ensure that you have selected Tap Off when typing and also try adjusting the delay after last key is hit.

Does that help with the typing problem.?
