I am trying to install a wireless internet conncection to my vaio, am not experenced with Wireless Technology. I don't want to set up a wireless network but want to use the internet wherever i go with using a dial-up. I use Blueyonder intenet (Broadband) through the USB port.
You need an Wireless ADSL router. Save the connecting data in your router, which you got from your provider. You will never start an internet connection then any more. You use the internet via a Network then. So, you will be online if you switch-on your VAIO.:smileycool:
Go to kee-lo.info and go to my elektronix section, all you need to go wireless is on that page.
Would i need a wirelss card or usb flash adapter?
Would I beable to use it miles away?
Yes you need a wireless card. The PCMCIA models have a range than USB models. The maximal range can be up to 100 meters, outside. But with directional-antennas are 1 kilometer and more possible. The speed will decrease on this range, but it works. Google will be your friend.
Thanks for your help.
