I have been trying to use Solid Edge V15 with my A197VP, but the performance is appalling with this software, but it runs everything else like a dream. I know that this machine is not designed specifically with CAD/ CAE in mind, but I have seen machines with lesser specifications , such as an AMD 2600 with 256MB RAM and NVidia GeForce4 MX, run the software more smoothly. Is there anything I can do to boost performance, or are there any GPU enhancing upgrades in the pipeline?
