TV Guide in Windows Media Centre

Gotta LM1E with Media Centre. The TV Guide has never had listings for either ITV1 or ITV2. Have tried to add these channels to no avail. Has anyone had similar probs?? Anyone gotta fix?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my LT-1M. ITV 1 (in my case STV) and ITV2 shows no TV guide data. I also have tried to add data, but to no avail. Anyone have any bright ideas

thanks

Hi simonandpia

welcome to Club Vaio..

Try this..

Start Windows Media Center and choose Live TV right click and select Settings, then click on TV, click Guide and then click Add Listings to a channel..

Click on the channel you wish to change, scroll down and select the correct guide from the list and click Save

Hopefully now the correct program details should be shown

Hi simonandpia

I don't have my laptop or Vista until Tuesday at the earliest but when I did have ..below..

My problem was caused by me choosing the wrong transmitter in the set up, I'm slap bang in the middle of two Transmitters Emley Moor and Belmont.

Once I had figured that out the schedule seemed to work out ok.. I was downloading the schedule for one transmitter that differed from the channels tuned in, I'm not saying this is your problem but it is what happend to me with ITV1 and ITV2.

I guess the schedule is done by frequency AND channel name due to regional programming

If like me your stuck between two transmitters or so try here to see which transmitters.. found researching if I could use and indoor aerial then I realised.

Also saving guide data for a specific channel did nothing for me either as I wasnt really recieving that channel so hence no data.

Hope it helps you

Hi All

I have the same thing on my VGC-VA1 XP and Vista dual boot.
I went the my Sony centre where i bought the computer to ask about it, They contacted Vaio Link.
Apparantly there is no problum with the computers. ITV do not upload the guide data to the internet, And it dosent come through your areil like a Freeveiw TV.
