Sony assistance is very ridiculus

My Vaio notebook (Z11WN 2400 euro's Notebook!) was bought in september, sent to Sony assitence for a problem in hspda modem in optober and now (DECEMBER) i'm not working with it!
Where is the five days warranty?

I'm very very angry! It's the top of production of sony's notebook!? :slight_frown:

that does sound a long time, have you been kept updated with the progress of your repair.?

If so what have you been told.?

Thank you for contacting us.

Please try uninstalling and re-installing the driver as follows:

* Click "Start"
* Right-click "Computer"
* Select "Manage"
* Click on "Device Manager"
* Click on the + sign next to "Modems"
* Right-click on the modem installed and select "Uninstall"
* Restart the Vaio and continuously press the F2 key upon seeing the Vaio logo
* You should now be in the BIOS utility
* Press F9 to restore BIOS defaults and then F10 to save and exit

The Vaio will restart and the modem should automatically be installed with the correct drivers.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to update your case. If you would prefer an e-Support agent to contact you by telephone, please update your case with your preferred contact number and a suitable timeframe between the hours of 8:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday.

Why is ridiculous?

Because:
1) the laptop is in assistence! I can't do anything because they have my pc and they don't know this!
2) they demostrate that don't know my laptop. In bios the HSPDA module can't be disabled
3) the hsdpa module not releved by OS, and for remove any configuration mistake i use their disk backup for reconfigure all system with vendor's configuration.

The problem is simple, the HSDPA module is died and they don't have sobstitution part. I will wait Jennuary bicouse is christmas (the agent say me this friday!)
my laptop now cost 2199 euro and I cant't use it, but in this moment for 2400 euro (my laptop price at september) I could buy Z21.

This laptop was MY WORSTE Investiment of the last years!

Very odd response indeed.. :thinking:

The latest info that I have is that Vaio-support is awaiting part/s I have asked for an estimated date of when you should expect your Vaio back..

As soon as I get any more I'll let you know..

cases like acirasa's are very worrying about Sony's service support.
This is not what to expect from Sony.

What is their maximum time for an assistence intervent in quality certification?
