Problems running several programes

I have an VGN-AR41S.

I have now installed windows Server 2008.
Then I decided to install the software that came preinstalled when the computer was bought.

However it seems I have several problems here.
My camera want run, I can't use shortkeys (like Fn+F6), Bluetooth problems as well just to mention some.

Managed to installe the Update 4.0 and updated some of the software though.

How can I fix this?

Server 2008 has the same kernel as Vista SP1 so all the drivers and utilities designed for Vista should work.

The only things that may not work are the installers!!!

Download the full Original Vista Driver Package and the Original Vista Utilities Package for the AR41 from here: -

You will find all the drivers required (including the camera and bluetooth drivers) in the Drivers Package.

You will find all the utilities you require ( including Bluetooth, AV Mode and two camera utilities) in the Utilities Package. Always install 'Sony Utils DLL' first and then 'Sony Shared Library'. After those you can choose what utilities to install - 'Vaio Event Service' for the shortcut keys, 'Camera Utility' and the 'Camera Capture Utility' for the camera etc.

I found those, however when I did install all the drivers and utilities I didnt install the Utils DLL and Shared Library first..

So I have now uninstalled all Sony drivers etc and started reinstalling in the correct order.

However there seems to be problems running Vaio Camera Capture Utility....
Has stopped working is the message I get...

Have you installed all the software 'VAIO Updates'? There is an awful lot for the AR41 - including the Vaio Camera Capture Utility.

Unfortunately there is no way to install the original Sony Application software that came with your Vaio - things like the WinDVD BD player, SonicStage Mastering Studio, Roxio, Premiere and Photoshop Elements, VAIO Edit componemts, Click2BD, Adobe Acrobat etc cannot be recovered other than by reinstalling the original operating system. Presumably you will also need to find a standalone TV Tuner suite.

I would not wish to install Server because it is not designed for a laptop and so many of the features will not work - let alone a high end laptop like the AR41S. Presumably you have some good reason for wanting to do so.
