memory upgrade VGN A115Z

Hi,

I wish to upgrade the RAM memory (at the moment- 256 + 256 = 512). On Sony website it says that for my system there are 2 slots and the maximum memory is 1GB.

Now is that in total or in each slot ie can I have 1 GB (512+512) or 2GB (1024+1024)????

Also any suggestions as to where I can buy one from for good price?

Although Sony say 1024 Max (512 + 512) I see that Crucial.com guarantee that the A115 series will take 2048MB (1024 + 1024)

Most of us here at Club Vaio use Crucial memory and can recommend them. No one has had any problems so I would tend to agree with then that 2048MB is OK. If for some reason it does not work, their guarantee will make sure the modules are replaced.
