My laptop's screen isnt working any more and I noticed the warranty has expired 10 months ago. Can I renew my warranty and get my laptop fixed now?
My friend told me that im not allowed to purchase a warranty now as warranties are only renewable from the exact expiration date, is that correct?
Thanks.
Your friend is correct.
You can only extend the warranty if you are still within the original warranty period.
Just a suggestion - but I think you will get better replies if you keep all your questions in one thread. You have separate threads about:
1. What your problem is
2. What sort of warranty you have
3. Where to get spare parts
If these were all together, anyone helping can see the whole picture - not just fragments.

Thanks for that.
Unfortunately a screen print looks fine at my end because your Vaio sends an image of what it thinks it is showing. It thinks it is showing the perfect image. For us to see your problem you will need to use a camera to take an image of your screen.
You are right, a replacement screen is going to cost $1,000 to $1,500 and for that you could buy a new laptop.
Perhaps eBay for a cheap or broken AR21S...?

All the screens are High Definition. A HD screen is WUXGA 1920X1200.
On paper they do look the same.
I can't help with a recommendation though!!!
Good Luck.
