Hi, it really all depends on what input connections you have on your plasma as to the quality of your picture. which ones are you using?

You should be able to change the output resolution.
It's definitly possible with laptops but not too sure with the RA304.
Kee-Lo has an RA104, maybe he knows
I have VGA and DVI on my desktop and I can't connect an additional screen using both DVI and VGA. (I probably need graphic card that maybe enables this fuction) I could be wrong

I haven't got a plasma
Composite video is not particularly good, There is such a thing as a VGA(HD15) connector to Scart which will give you a much better picture, however are you sure there are no PC connections on your plasma, its pretty much a standard these days.
This will also work though.
VGA to Scart
