HD 3650 too slow ?!

Hi,

i have the new Sony Vaio FW21J (P8400, 4 gig etc.) notebook with the implemented HD 3650 graphics. but i think the system is running too slow, considering that it is aboslutely not possible to play Counter-Strike 1.6 (or even WoW with animated shadows, which means hte regulator is just on "low", ca. 20%).

World of Warcraft is not the problem though. without shadows it runs well.
but it can't be that CS is struggling hard out like this. there are no more frames than 5-15, no matter if i use Direct3D or OpenGL...


i am using the newest CCC 8.11 drivers. does someone has a solution for this?

If someone else has the same issue:

Due to some testings I think the right solution ist to add the "-dxlevel 90" parameter in the Launch Options from Counter-Strike 1.6. Since then there are no complications appearing anymore.
