driver problems with sony vaio PCG-V505CP can somebody help please??

I have recently had to reinstall windows because of virus problems. I extracted the driver files sony provide on there website and i still cant search for wireless internet connections like i use to and windows media player will not play music anymore it comes up with errors what am i missing or doing wrong ?

Have you installed ALL the Microsoft Updates and ALL the Vaio Updates?

I see there are updates for the PRO-Wireless software and the Wireless LAN driver here: -
