I've tried several search terms including the single word "Vista" and always end up with no results. My guess is that the search function is broken.
Whaddya say?
Do a search for, wait for it,
"Vaio"
No results found!
Ha Ha Ha, Ho Ho Ho, Ha Ha Ha, Ho Ho Ho, I think I'm going mad!
Or did I spell it wrong?
what a complete joke!
Surly it should find 165575 Posts as that is the number posted and all posts on the search start with ClubVaio.
It doesn't work really does it?
No as I said in an earlier post, the search function is even worse than it was before..
Hopefully Sony are still working on it..
They must of tinkered with it after my post, last night it was zero results.
196 is a tiny bit better for the word "Vaio", since there are thousands of pages.
It can now also find "AR21S" and "20060210", but only a very small amount.
So it looks like they are trying to put things right.
Let's see...
And one thing has been consistent over that time; the slow but constant degradation in the standard and quality of support from Sony. It used to be that replies to e-Support queries were near instantaneous and contained intelligent, well thought out and above all helpful responses. Now it takes days and you get nothing but a (frequently obtuse) company line. Mercifully I haven't had to use hardware support/repair/replacement lately - with one exception when Sony swapped out the wrong hard drive it used to be very, very good. But judging by the standard of e-Support I wonder just how good it is now.
I've done a quick comparison with the DELL forum search.
A search for "blu-ray" in the DELL forum yields 324 results. But they redirect you to the USA forum from the UK site. Which sort of makes sense if they have the same model numbers.
The same search here gives you 6 results.
It is late, I know,
But I've just tried a search again "vaio" and "sony".
Zero results!
Do they turn the search off at night?
It's not only the search which doesn't function (I searched Linux --> NO Results)
It's also the sort by function which not works.
They need to strengthen the search, maybe the database just got too full
I've just tried to search for a couple of keywords like 'vaio' and 'ar21s'. I'm getting zero results back.
Looks like the search is broken again.
