Battery blacked out, no charge indication on power meter and L.E.D (VGN-C1Z/B)

Hi fellas!
need some answers and suggestions on whats going on with my power pack,

I use a Vaio notebook (VGN-C1Z/B), this is my sixth month using it from its spanking new state.

I very rearly use it on Battery mode but when I do the battery goes from 100% to battery warning in like 40mins, some times less than that!

Only today I just realized my battery was flat regardless the fact that my notebook was alwayz plugged to the power outlet when in use.

The note book instantly goes off as soon as I pull the power cord.
The power meter indicates no battery present even when it is;
and the battery L.E.D charge indicator does not even come on any more.

So guys, what do U suggest? cos I don't want to rule out the fact that the charging mechanism could be the problem and not the battery?

if you have only had your Vaio for six months I suggest you contact Vaio support, you can do this either by phone or via e-Support, use the following link to find the contact details: Sony Vaio Support

Another way to check if this is a battery or possible hardware problem is to take your Vaio to a local stockist and ask if you can try another similar battery in your Vaio..
