When my vaio vgn-nr21z with vista sp1 32bit home premium goes into sleep the wifi switches off automatically.
Problem is when it wakes the wifi remains off and can only be turned on by restarting the pc.
Is there a fix for this?
Bumpety bump.
This thread has had 81 views and no responses. I guess that means it's an issue of interest.
Anyone got a clue how to sort it?
Hi,
I had the same problem a few months ago on my AR21S.
1) To avoid restarting the machine
Go into the control panel, peripherals, and find your wi-fi adapter (under Network adapters I think). Right-click, choose Deactivate. A few seconds later, right-click, choose activate. Your wi-fi should now work (it worked for me).
2) A true solution ?
Not sure. The problem disappeared on my machine probably after an update of Windows or of the wi-fi driver but I don't remember. Did you install ALL the updates provided on this site for your model ?
Have you installed SP1?
It should fix these kind of problem!
