A sound that sony says it is normal. What do you think

I had posted an other thread about a problem that I had with the AW11 M/H. After sending my laptop to them, after long hours trying to explain the problem (a sound that was coming out of the HD) after recording the sound my self the only thing that I managed was to make them admit that yes there is a sound (I thought great at least they can hear it too) BUT it is normal and within specifications.
Please find the time to hear the noise and tell me if you thing that this is normal.

Hi,

It sounds a little noisy, but not excessive. I had a HP Laptop that did this for over 3 years with no problems. In the end when the disk prices became more reasonable I swapped it out. I would recommend that (if you can), you make sure you take regular backups of any critical data to another media (dvd/CD) , just in case. But I would recommend that to anyone with a laptop anyway.

Secondy, it sounds like your disk activity is a little excessive anyway. Where you doing anything at all on the machine whilst recording it? I would check what your paging rate is and if you haven't already, I would add memory to the machine.
