My phone came up with an error saying that my SD card was unexpectedly removed. I did all the basic things such as restarting my phone, taking SD card out and putting it in again etc. Nothing worked.
I took my phone back to the shop i got it from and they tried my SD card with a different phone. Only some data was showing up. They told me that ti was likely down to the fact that I hadn't yet updated my phone.
I went home and did the update on my phone. While this fixed a few minor issues on my phone, it did not sort out the SD card issue.
Since updating my phone, i have tried restarting my phone, taking SD card out and putting it back in again, but none have worked.
I am not too btohered about the data on the SD card, as most of it was backed up online. The main thing i want to get sorted is the icons in my apps list that are what's remaining of the apps that were on my SD card. I can't go into Google PLay Stopre and uninstall them as my phone doesn't think they are there and also becuase it's 1 generic tile for all the apps that were lost.
I don't want to reset my phone completely but if I have to, I will.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I'd say a reset is the best way to solve this. Something seems to be wrong in the software caused by the SD errors. If the issues remain after this you should send in the phone to a service center so they can take a look at it for you. Contact your local Xperia Support for more information.
